Young Jesu Sweet is a choral setting of a 16th century text by the Wedderburn brothers; this text was also used in the "Ceremony of Carols" by Benjamin Britten. Written to be sung in just intonation. Pitch graphs available from the composer.


O my deir hert, young Jesu sweit,
Prepare thy creddil in my spreit.
And I sall rock thee in my hert
And never mair from thee depart.

But I sall praise thee evermoir
With sangis sweit unto thy gloir;
The knees of my hert sall I bow,
And sing that richt balulalow.
