ChoralNet Donation Announcement

Wilmington, Delaware
May, 2003

William Copper and the Hartenshield Group, publisher of music by William Copper, announce a promotional offer for choruses considering programming Sea Fever.

As a small publisher heavily dependent on the internet for communicating with choruses and other customers, we are very appreciative of the ChoralNet portal and the Choralist newsletter. We send out samples of choral music regularly and many of the recipients have learned about this service through Choralist.

The School Commission for 2002-2003 (Sea Fever, and the other Sea Songs) was made possible in part by Choralist as well. By a notice posted on Choralist about the project, four school choral directors and composer William Copper found each other. The schools sponsored the writing of Sea Fever and the other Sea Songs and received dedication in the score and right of premiere.

To show appreciation, to support the work of ChoralNet, and to encourage their continuing relationship with choral composers, William Copper and the Hartenshield Group will donate ten cents per copy of Sea Fever for orders placed between May 1, 2003 and July 31, 2003.

For orders of one or more of the other Sea Songs placed at the time, we will donate twenty-five cents per set.

For orders of ANY other music placed at the same time as a Sea Fever or Sea Songs order, the entire order will receive a 15% discount in addition to the ChoralNet donation.

William Copper, of Wilmington, a composer of orchestral, chamber, choral, and vocal music, attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Eastman School of Music, and the Krakow Poland Higher School of Music.
