Blessed the Gift is an offertory or concert work derived from the St. Peter's Mass by Stanislaw Moniuszko. It has a simple but effective organ part and beautiful vocal lines. The text in English is a very free translation and adaptation of the Polish nationalist poetry in the original, dating from around 1870.
